Built from fragments of street posters, DEBRIS01 brings together layers, tears, colors, and traces that once belonged to different images. Removed from their original context, these remnants form a new composition where chance and decay become a language of their own. The work preserves traces of the city, transforming what was destined to disappear into a new image.

Reconstructs an image from fragments of posters torn from the streets, preserving their tears, overlapping layers, and traces of exposure. Incomplete letters and remnants of messages survive without fully revealing their origin. The work transforms this fragmented urban language into a new composition, where what has been lost or rendered illegible takes on new meaning.

The passage of time intervenes in a phrase, transforming its meaning. I’m not where I want… loses some of its letters, almost accidentally revealing a new statement: I’m here. Among layers of found posters, fragments of images, and traces of decay, the work turns an idea of absence or longing into a declaration of presence. What disappears does not erase the message: it reveals another.

Don´t speak
Discovered beneath layers of torn street posters, Don´t speak emerged almost entirely on its own during the process of collecting urban materials. A seductive image of a woman seemingly about to speak, yet her identity remains hidden beneath fragments of paper and time. Preserved almost exactly as it was found, the work transforms a chance encounter into a fragment of memory waiting to be uncovered.
