Cristian Carvajal (1977, Santiago de Chile) is a prominent Chilean actor, visual artist, and designer. Under the name CUBZ, he develops a body of work focused on mosaic, pixel art, and urban intervention, exploring the relationship between symbol, matter, and territory.
With a long career in theater, film, and television, his perspective as an actor directly influences his visual work: each piece is a contained scene, a suspended gesture, or a narrative in tension. From Venetian mosaic to digital art, CUBZ combines formal fragmentation with a strong sense of rhythm, chromatic composition, and presence, allowing him to construct visual narratives that engage with the popular, the everyday, and the intimate. His works oscillate between the decomposition of iconic images and the disruption of the landscape.
Since 2024, he has begun intervening in public spaces with works that revalue the artisanal, the popular, and the precarious as contemporary languages. As CUBZ, Carvajal builds a developing visual identity marked by a critical, playful, and deeply personal gaze.
